MSTS has visited the facility a total of 21 times (Jack Dover being the most recent winner on May 21) and other series like ASCS, NCRA, and the Minnesota Mafia tour have all raced at Rocky as well. Justin Henderson brought home the win last season at the Northwest Iowa Track, and while that was the only MPS date on record, the facility is no stranger to winged sprint cars. Rapid Speedway is a 3/8ths mile dirt oval located on the Lyon County Fairgrounds, and has hosted the MPS once before in 2020. This coming Friday, June 18, The Quality Freight Rate Midwest Power Series will again join forces with the MSTS and meet up at the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids Iowa. With the opening weekend officially in the scorebook, The Midwest Power Series will embark on doubleheader weekend number two this coming weekend, with tracks in Iowa and Minnesota on tap. Lee and the entire team would like to thank all of their sponsors for their continued support! on Friday before heading to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa for their final tuneup before the 360 Knoxville Nationals on Saturday. The Moyle powered J&J team will be back at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. Grosz came away with another top five finish after driving from sixth to fourth in the main event. Grosz was also in action last Thursday at Sioux Speedway in Sioux Center, Iowa with the MSTS 360s. Grosz advanced 12 positions over the course of the 25-lap feature to earn a fifth place finish and the hard charger award against the 410 sprints. My dad and I got to talking about what we should do for the feature… we ended up changing a few things around,” said Grosz. “I was disappointed with how the heat race went to start the night. After finishing sixth in his heat, Grosz was mired back in the 17th starting spot for the A-main. On Sunday, the Lee Grosz Racing team returned to action with the NOSA Sprints at Grosz’s home track, Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo. With the win, Grosz now holds a slim eight point lead atop the MSTS point standings heading into Friday’s event at Jackson Motorplex. Jack Dover challenged Grosz in the closing laps, but didn’t have enough to get by the HI-10 Sports Center No. Grosz took the lead on lap six of the $2,400-to-win Randy Droescher Memorial and never looked back.
